So my question is how hard that would be.
Is it legal to do that with a turist-visum
Is it hard to get a temporary vfx-job (a few days)
Do they employ foreigners
etc
etc
I’m a 23 year old swedish compositing student, and thus have no real world working experience. But I’m perfectly capabale and willing to do rotowork.
I just started freelancing and don’t know the in’s and out’s too well. This company wants to put me on hold for Feb and March. I currently can’t work a friday in Feb and a Fri in March. Is this a big deal? Is it possible I won’t get the job because of this?
Thanks
first, who came up with this 20th century definition of compositing!? it sounds like someone copied it from a 1985 textbook or something. why not put a couple if pictures in there and extend the page a little.
and the part about effects animation and sfx doesn’t need to be in there at all, but should be in a seperate article! (by the way noone calls it "cgi effects" anymore! it’s cg effects or visual effects and they are not a part of special effects!)
p.s. it’s really weird to edit wki-pages in that teeny-tiny editing window! either do it right or let it go altogether. it’s gonna be really tough convincing people to update or contribute to a wiki like that…
just my 2cents

This would be like in Glengarry Glen Ross if Alec Baldwin actually gave the dudes the good leads. This is gold. Don’t throw it away.
If anyone doubts me I bet you this: I will make one of the best pieces of animation based you have ever seen on whatever theme/title you decide. If it is actually one of the best pieces of animation you have ever seen you have to put me in contact with Sumner Redstone. If it’s not ban me from this board and I will send you 20 dollars in the mail. Only serious inquiries please apply.
Are you man/woman enough to challenge me?
Awesome $300 13-minute superhero epic puts Hollywood to shame
Is is really possible to be blown away by a superhero movie with a budget of only $300? Michael Aston, who created, directed and produced the slightly NSFW mini-movie Lazy Teenage Superheroes, just proved that the answer is "Yes!" |

its also pure film + vfx and if it really was done on a $300 budget, the cost of the challenge prizes are $1000 + maybe it would be something the community could put their time into…
There is a lot of talent here and a lot of resources, a global vfx collaboration could be fun.
