Matchmove requirements:
• Minimum 2 years experience as a matchmove artist, preferably on feature film or television projects.
• Solid knowledge of Boujou and/or SynthEyes…and stereoscopic production experience is a big plus!
• A reel showing a strong artistic sensibility, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and desire to deliver consistently high quality work, and encourage those around you to the same standards.

Matte Painter Requirements:
• Ability to create photo-real environments and landscapes exhibiting a strong foundation in photo-realistic traditional and digital art skills with an emphasis on landscapes. Performs tasks related to integrating added imagery into a shots, preserving a unified sense of lighting, perspective, and color. Also responsible for creating original 2D and 3D content that may comprise part or all of an environment.
• Combines painting skills in animation software, with a knowledge of photography, practical and digital modeling, and design, to create 2D and 3D paintings for digital environments.
• Works closely with the Supervisor to ensure that plates meet planned concept design requirements.
• Must have strong artistic background, and a sharp eye for detail

Compositing Supervisor Nuke Requirements:
• Feature Film demo reel that shows strong artistic skills including a strong sense of color, lighting, perspective, scale, and composition.
• Stereoscopic experience.
• Traditional art portfolio demonstrating traditional art skills is a plus.
• Expert knowledge of Nuke is required.
• Experience with 3D Studio Max is a plus.
• Scripting or programming experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage time well.
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in dealing directly with clients.
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Ability to work within a strong team environment

Experience, Skill and Knowledge

§ Experience using Studio Max, Maya or equivalent

Freelance Rotoscope

TELETOON studios – is looking for an animator or compositor who is willing to do freelance rotoscope work.

The job requires lifting character animations from various children animated shows. The length of each sequence varies from :02s to :10s long. Turn around of each sequence is quick – 72hrs from receiving the hi-res files.

We will deliver hi-res animation QT file – you can work from home! We will require both an animation QT file with alpha and a .png sequence as final delivery

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and maintain weekly on-line video conference schedule, fielding requests from Los Angeles, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kuala Lumpur studio locations.
  • Assist video conference users in equipment training, trouble shooting and scheduling.
  • Assist with travel coordination between the U.S. and International facilities.
  • Diligent email monitoring and follow-up.
  • Schedule International-specific meetings, take and distribute notes when necessary.
  • Facilitate requests between International Production Management and the International studios.
  • General office and administrative coordination.

3D-Stereo Compositors
Primary responsibilities and skill-sets:

  • Perform all tasks associated with the compositing process: incorporating roto, matte extraction, layering of elements, color correction, 2D and 3D tracking.
  • Integrate cg elements and matte paintings into live action or CG Animated plates.
  • Take creative direction from leads and/or stereographer.
  • Present work clearly in dailies and respond to supervisors in a timely fashion.
  • Work with other 3D Artists to convert 2D media into high quality Stereoscopic 3D in a timely manner.
  • Must have thorough knowledge and ability to use After Effects or node based compositing system, as well as Photoshop.
  • Familiar with Rotoscoping, particularly Silhouette and Mocha Pro.
  • Excellent understanding of stereography.
  • Ability to understand and interpret the creative requirements in order to create an accurate representation of stereoscopy.

Rotoscope/Paint Artist
Primary responsibilities and skill-sets:

  • Frame by frame rotoscoping to live-action plate elements.
  • The ability to create photo-real clean plates and track them onto live action plates.
  • Ability to effectively hand-paint on live action plates when needed.
  • An understanding of HD and Film grain and how to replicate it on clean plates.
  • Solid tracking skills in a 3D or 2D tracking package. Knowledge how to export and use this data in a compositing package.
  • A creative and proactive attitude to the task at hand.
  • To organize their time, collaborate, and effectively communicate with their supervisors and colleagues.
  • To stay positive and creative in the chaos of the production environment.
  • An understanding of movement essential.

Senior Match-Movers

  • Must have the ability to work under tight deadlines, and possess excellent problem solving skills.

* Briefing junior compositors when dividing of shots into tasks (e.g. rotoscoping) is required.
