Overall Purpose and Objective

The I/O Position will be responsible for managing data in and out of the division as well as internal data integrity. Additionally, monitoring and maintaining control of the render process as well as managing the render farm.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform and manage inter-office data transfers
  • Renaming files to conform to company standards
  • Monitor, manage, and keep the render farm running at maximum capacity
  • Monitor, manage, and check rendered shots, verifying delivery for dailies
  • Maintain rendering priorities and resource allocations for various productions
  • Coordinate with Systems Administration to ensure files are correctly placed
  • Online and offline files from FireWire, DVD, CD, and other media

  • Manage disk space on servers

What will you do?

Key Purpose of the Job

To carry out all Studio duties to support smooth running of the facility. Working closely with artists and Producers to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of data into the facility, and at the end of the job to the clients in whatever format they desire.

Needs to Do

1. Input of digital image data. Responsible for the accurate renaming and reading of supplied data onto the facility servers, from any media such as tape, firewire and disk.

2. Output of digital image data. Responsible for the accurate dispatch of data to outside facilities as required.

3. To handle camera original film negative and accurately log the keycode data, then scan and upload the resultant files to the facility’s servers.

4. Administration of Studio Resources. To ensure that all studio records and databases are accurate and up to date.

* Texture Artists are responsible for painting photoreal textures and relevant maps for other surface effects to be mapped to 3D objects

* Texture artists work closely with the modelling and shading artists and therefore must have a thorough knowledge of the practices of these disciplines

MPC Film are looking for a strong production manager to handle the overview of work between its London, Vancouver and Bangalore sites. Duties and Responsibilities:

· Regular interaction with Show Producers / Production Managers regarding workload and vendors

· Aid with future growth planning for MPC Bangalore regarding resource/systems
