Batallón 52 is a non profit animation project that consists of 52 shortsfilms (funded by the gobernment). This shorts will be made to celebrate Mexico´s 200 years of independence and 100 years of revolution coming up in 2010.

The shorts are being made in Toon Boom´s Harmony software (now animate), but some of the visual effects and compositing will be done in after effects (yeah, we need a lot of gunshots, blood, explotions, fire, smoke, dust and such things).

That is why we are needing a VFX & COMPOSITING TRAINER to give a 1 week after effects training to our group of compositors as soon as possible. If you are interested please contact Abril Reynoso.

ABOUT BATALLON:
We are set in Guadalajara city, one of the biggest cities in Mexico and probably the most calm and beautiful. The project is not about making money but more about making new talents. All the designers, storyboarders, animators, etc. are young people with little or no experience in the field, but talented and with a great thirst for knowledge. The main goal is pf course to make this 52 shorts but also to create more than a hundred talented new artists ready to work in more and more interesting projects.

So, if you have experience in after effects and feel like coming to our city for a week and meet a bunch of cool young people while enjoying the great weather and making some bucks please email Abril, she will answer any question you may have.
