This position partners with the Visual Effects Supervisor and the production team in order to understand and execute the client and studios vision.

As CG Supervisor you will be required to manage all 3D-related aspects of the facility, working closely with all levels of staff to ensure that projects meet our high production standards. You will provide technical and creative support to artists in addition to devising creative solutions to complex visual and technical problems.

Candidates must have:

— At least 4 years industry experience as a TD/CG Supervisor
— Expert knowledge of Maya and Vray
— Expert knowledge of node-based compositing

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Work with a production team to determine what is needed for the desired look and performance of a project and incorporate that into new or existing setups
* Write scripts and incorporate them into the pipeline, enabling the artists to efficiently prepare deliverables for the next phase of production

Skills and Education Requirements:

* Requires 4 years minimum experience in Feature Film and/or Commercial production
* High level knowledge of Nuke
* Experience with programming/scripting languages (such as python, C++, perl, etc.) is a plus
* A history of consistent high-end technical execution

Duties and Responsibilities will include:
• Break scenes down into distinct visual components (such as ambient occlusion, diffuse, specular, reflections, etc.), output render layers for those components, and composite together the multiple rendered layers

• Perform visual and analytical problem solving in both 3 dimensional and 2 dimensional space
• Work with a production team and visual effects supervisor to create the desired look for environments and characters that may reflect any of a wide variety of styles

Skills:
• Requires 4 years minimum experience in Feature Film and/or Commercial production

• A good eye for lighting, detail and overall composition
• A strong understanding of how things should look and feel given specific artistic direction or reference
• Understanding of practical movie set lighting and ability to incorporate and match those lighting setups in computer graphics
• Extensive experience compositing with Nuke is essential

The Job

We’re looking for a talented FX Technical director who can:

·Create particle, rigid body, fluid, cloth, fur and hair simulations within Maya
·Create custom tools, scripts and expressions if necessary
·Set up efficient workflows between Maya and any other relevant software packages
·Produce tests and final renders of shots
·Work closely with lighters and compositors to ensure shots are delivered to a high standard
·Work closely with the Visual Effects Supervisor to deliver shots to their specifications

Your Experience


·Minimum 2 years industry experience in TV or Film preferred creating, rigid body, fluid, cloth, fur and hair simulations
·Excellent experience and knowledge of Maya including MEL scripting (knowledge of Python scripting a plus)
·Experience of working on projects within a studio pipeline
·Knowledge of the following and any other particles/dynamics packages a plus (RealFlow, FumeFX, 3D Studio Max Particle Flow, ThinkingParticles, Krakatoa)
·Compositing experience a plus (Nuke, Fusion, After Effects)

The Job

We’re looking for talented Compositors of varying levels who can:

·Seamlessly integrate multiple elements (CG, greenscreen & stock elements, and matte paintings) into live action & CG plates to produce high-quality shots
·Match the colour, grain and exposure of the elements to their plates
·Work closely with the CG department to request extra render passes or fixes to existing passes
·Pick up comps from other compositors and continue their work
·Mentor junior compositors
·Work closely with the Visual Effects Supervisor to deliver shots to their specifications

Your Experience


·Minimum 2 years industry experience compositing visual effects for TV or Film. Graduates with strong reels will be considered for junior roles
·Excellent knowledge of compositing techniques, including keying (using Keylight or Primatte), integration of CG or greenscreen elements into live action plates, rotoscoping, 2D tracking & stabilisation, time-remapping and colour correction
·Ideally you will be experienced in After Effects and/or Nuke, but we will consider talented compositors experienced in other applications like Fusion or Shake
·A sound understanding of the visual effects pipeline, especially render passes
·Knowledge of TV and film resolutions and aspect ratios
·An excellent eye for detail and a head for problem solving
·Scripting and knowledge of writing expressions a plus
·Maya and 3D tracking knowledge a plus
