VFX ARTISTS WANTED!

The ZHDK (School of Arts, Zurich) final under-graduate film «Grayday» by Janos Menberg and Ari Zehnder is going into post-production and is looking for VFX artists.

This is your chance to work on a professional low-budget film with a highly motivated crew.

The short film «Grayday» is set in an exaggerated, almost fantasy-like world, which can be interpreted as a caricature of our society. In this world two philosophies of life stand against each other. On one side this is being shown trough the staging and on the other side trough the visual experience. The visual side is where the VFX crew comes into action. The plot of «Grayday» is about an ill-assorted couple and the escape from social conventions.

To complete the VFX crew we are looking for artists with knowledge in one of the following fields:

  • Matte painter
  • Rotoscoping
  • Compositing

Filming was completed in April on location in Switzerland. We shot with the RED ONE, which means all VFX work will be done in 4K and the final film will then be rendered in 2K. Besides that we work with After Effects and Final Cut. Since we can’t relocate you, you will be working remotely, with your own hardware, and we’ll provide the material via an FTP server.

Sounds interesting? Yes? Then send us your portfolio/reel/work examples and we’ll get right back at you.

Contact: hello@tobiasbaumann.net

Since this is a low budget film being, done by film students, we can’t offer any payment. What we can offer tough is a great opportunity to work on some quality footage in 4K and the work with a great team. Since we plan to go to various festivals this surely will help your career.

If you have any questions feel free to e-mail us and we’re looking forward to hear from you.
