Maya nParticles wont disappear when I rewind them.
_there is no cache and no initial state
_both my start time is set to 1 ( in nParticle and in nSolver)
I’m using an nParticle to emit another nParticle system and also using the per-point emission rate.
Thanks
As cool as it is, theres one problem, the awesome ‘scroll’ wheel doesn’t click ‘in’ so i can’t use the mmb in maya. Is there a way to format this in maya 2011 only so i dont have to change settings in my preferences for everything else? It allready just seems like more of a pain in the ass then just going out and buying the same mouse that i just had…
Is there a good mouse out there that you guys recommend, that works great with maya, and last long?

Emit fluids on collide?
Posted in: MayaDynamics question for ya’ll. I have two objects, one that passes through another. The stationary object has a 3D Container around it and the object is a surface emitter for fluids. I was wondering if there is a way for the the object to emit fluids only on collision with the other object? Also I would hope it could be based on vertices or maybe face normals or something so that when only parts of the object that are touching the other object would emit the fluids.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Posted in: MayaProblems with exporting image sequence
Posted in: MayaI came across an error message while rendering out of Maya 2011 that I’ve never seen before. So while rendering out a either jpeg, tif, or png etc. image sequence, I tried to make a movie out of it, using Quicktime Pro 7.6.6. The error is posted below, also this happens when I tried to export out of shake . I only happened a couple of times where I could get an image sequence into a movie. I also have Maya 2010. and used the same thing but to no avail. The project I am working on is the Gnomon Fluid Vol 1 that just got released a few weeks ago. But I doubt this could be the issue. My Maya 2011 is the free 13 month trial I got off student.autodesk.com and My Maya 2010 was purchased off studica.com. I tried looking for the error off google but to no avail. Any help would be great.
Flatten out blobby surfaces?
Posted in: MayaI am trying to simulate a blood splatter using blobby surfaces and want to know how I can flatten out the blobs upon collision. Is this possible?
Thank you,
