Fusion 6.1 Particle System broken?

Is it possible that there is something terrible wrong with particles in 6.1 also 6.1.4. It seems it doesn’t send updates downstream on a 3D Render, I get a lot of Memory Allocation errors and when I switch to a 2D region or change particles to clusters it sometimes crashes.

I loaded Fusion 6.0 and everything works totally well.

problem, FBX import from 3DSMAX whith bad polygones

hello everybody, I have some problems with FBX import object, from 3DSMAX : there is some Polygones math with the object between the differents corner of the geometry.

Hi all
I have just went through a nuke tutorial about compositing vray passes in nuke. Like merging GI, Light, Reflection, Refraction … to one exact same picure like RGB render. I tested that and it works 100% fine. Even I used Raw data file. (AA solved…everything just perfect) In nuke, I used PLUS, DIVIDE, MULTIPLY and MINUS operation. The most used were PLUS and MULTIPLY operation at merge tool.
And my question is. How…actually, where Can I find these operation in Fusion?? I can’t find them. Under merge tool there aren’t. So…any help?

Random little questions

A couple things that have been bugging me with Fusion but haven’t been able to figure out… Was wondering if anyone knew the answer to any of these..

Any created macros don’t show up in the ctrl-space window

How does the if expression work? I’ve tried the whole "if(c, x, y)" thing with various different combinations trying to keep it as simple as possible and it doesn’t come up with anything. Was messing around with it using the values in a custom tool.

There’s some more I believe but my mind is numb from reimporting too many loaders. Thanks in advance 🙂

Switching comps while running scripts:

Is it possible to get some variables from one comp and apply to another while running the same script.
Basically, I want to take the file path from current comp’s saver, open a new comp and put that path into a Loader…:fingerscr

So, if I’am in comp1 and running the script to get saver path, thn opening existing slate comp (comp2), trying to put tht variable in MainLoader of comp2,
while doing this, the script looks for MainLoader before opening the new comp and gives error…
Any idea?

Camera target & depth

I have a problem and i would like to know how it can possible to link target camera with the focus camera prameters.
So when i would want to move the target, an auto focusing was created. like 3D software.

would someone be so kind and upload a fusion scene file with just a read node in.
nice would be one with a loaded image file or something.

Can you open this file within a text editor like shake and nuke script files?

RenderMan RIB plugin ????

Hello,

I’m wondering what is going on the RIB renderman front for Fusion. ?
Thanks to Blazej for the 1st RIB exporter.

It seems that some complete solutions are available for Nuke. I didn’t hear much about Fusion .. 🙁
I know that Eyeon has supplied the blueprint for such plugin in the SDK….
So 3rd party plugin..?

It will be so great to have Raytraced / global illumination ……

Export Lut from Fusion 6.1 for AE CS5

I know this sounds like a simple question but has anyone successfully exported a LUT from Fusion 6 (.3dl or .cube) and successfully loaded it into AfterEffects CS5 using AE’s Apply LUT utility? A client has AE 5 and wants to view the DPX sequences in AE CS5. 😀

alpha merge problem

Hi everybody,

I’m pretty new to node compositing, I was trying to composite some fumefx with debris, rendering it separated from smoke.
I thought that using a matte material on debris (that rotates around the fume) was the good way to do it, but when I started merging channels in fusion I had this problem:

and this is the correct alpha from the beauty pass, with debris and fume in the same render:

I hope someone can help me with this problem 🙂
