Check out a selection of Cake’s best pastry and sweets for 2011. Cake is a creative animation, design and live-action studio founded by David Pocull and Thiago Maia. Although based in London they collaborate with designers and animators from around the world to bring a wealth of experience to each brief.
Cake also recently completed these open and end titles for the A Box for Rob film.
N.Y and Venice based Prologue, a collective of designers, filmmakers and artists and founded by Kyle Cooper, launched a new site with new storyboard and title projects; Final Destination 5, Fright Night, Thor, The Help and X-Men First Class.
Prologue is also looking for Design & Animation Artists and Maya VFX Artsts.
Swedish vfx and motion graphics studio Upper First just launched a few bumpers for MTV Nordics Breakfast Club. “We were just about to close down our studio and go on vacation when MTV Nordic called. They loved what we did last time for them and asked us to produce a new bumper package for their show Breakfast Club! We just couldn’t resist and went into a 3-week production frenzy. MTV wanted something happy, weird and funny in our high-end style. This is what we did.”

Following up last years Ashes to Ashes trailer, Epic Games turned to AKQA and Digital Domain for the follow-up Dust to Dust spot for Gears of War 3. Audio is Into Dust by Mazzy Star.
Brazillian motion design studio Animatorio teamed up with Lobo for this Billboard promo featuring 50 cent; Music, see what its made of. Designed by João Lavieri ( a.k.a. LAV )
Animatorio and Lobo also created this spot a couple of years ago,for Amnesty International … another example of great animation.
Stink Director Adam Berg directed Audi’s latest spot for the A6; Manipulation. CG and post from Glassworks London.
The new Audi A6 with Aluminium hybrid body. Engineered with a lighter touch. This film is a magical display of Audi’s mastery of lightweight metal engineering.
California based freelance Art Director Jon Malkemus updated with some recent work. Lots of great storyboard designs to see.

The Tale Of Mr. Rêvus is a University Of Applied Sciences graduation diploma film, animated and directed by Nuernberg based Marius Herzog. “The challenge of this movie was to reproduce the entire production process of an animated 3D shortfilm by myself including story development, concept design, modelling, rigging, directing, editing, animating, rendering and finally compositing.”
