Spy Films, Digital Domain, Grey: Sony

Sony approached Grey London with the task of showcasing Sony product’s 3D capabilities. The brief called for something beyond mere visual spectacle, something that would evoke profound emotion through projection of a storyline. Directed by Arev Manoukian, with production by Spy Films and post production by Digital Domain, Two Worlds brings forth romance with narration of a Leonard Cohen poem.

Tell No One x 2

U.K based Tell No One, a writer/director duo, recently collaboarted with SHOWstudio producing Dynamic Blooms; a fashion film to counterpart Nick Knight’s photography for AnOther magazine’s Spring/Summer 2011 issue.

Fisher: One Eyed Robot

Ostracized by his village for being different, Fisher is a lonely being who lives in a small cabin at the edge of the sea. His world is turned upside down one day when in a twist of fate, he is forced out of his comfort zone and thrusted into a journey of self discovery.

Tendril: Interac Flash Tutorial

Toronto based Tendril continue their string of impressive project with Flash Tutorial / Interac, with stellar Music & Sound Design by John Black of Cypheraudio.

Check out Tenril’s Stills and Process … “Our strategy was to keep the design visually minimal and graphic as possible, relying on unexpected twists, snappy animation timing, and quick transitions to establish and maintain the pace.

On a technical level, because of the complex deformations, dimensionality, and lipsync the script called for, the wallet was rigged and animated in 3D, but rendered with flat colours to look 2D. Some other elements like the coins were also handled this way. The rest of the elements were animated in After Effects. In the end, we had a huge amount of fun creating this piece and hope you enjoy watching it!
