3D Camera Tracker & Match Mover from Foundry

After Effects Camera Tracker and Match Mover

CAMERATRACKER for After Effects® allows you to pull 3D motion tracks and matchmoves without having to leave AE. It analyses the source sequence and extracts the original camera’s lens and motion parameters, allowing you to composite 2D or 3D elements correctly with reference to the camera used to film the shot.
You can now match camera moves within Adobe® After Effects®’ 2.5D environment, opening up new, robust options for the placement of composite elements, such as the creation of Fringe / Heroes style ‘in scene’ titles, insertion of animated design elements, match-moved virtual set extensions, motion-tracked projection mapping and much more…
This 3d motion tracking technology was previously only available in NUKEX, the Foundry’s high-end film compositing tool. You can now do all this in Adobe® After Effects® without exiting your application.

Colour Correcting Particular Layer

Hey there,
I’ve got a Trapcode Particular particle effect applied to a solid layer. If I add a colour correction effect after the Particular effect, it doesn’t do anything.
Similarly, if I pre-comp and apply an adjustment layer, no effect.

Anyone know how I can colour correct my particles?

Cheers.

AE camera tracking/match moving issue

Hey guys

I’ve been asked by a friend/director to work on a shot for his latest short. its a vertical camera move (fixed on a jib) starting in the out of focus bedroom and ending up on a girl in bed (in focus). the girl was supposed to have some very special make up which the make up artist proved not to be able to achive (yay!) which is why I ended up enhancing the make up from a grabbed frame in photoshop (there’s absolutely no movement in the shot so thats no problem). the idea was to match move the enhanced pic from photoshop to the camera move in AE. however this proves to be quite difficult as the shot itself really isnt the best for match moving (not much parallax, no visible ground plane, very shallow focal range, dark and grainy footage).

so, I was wondering if any of you’ve got some tips n ticks for me to try out. the tools available to me are after effect’s very own tracker, mocha and the foundry’s cameratracker plugin.

cheers!

Plugin control from another layer in other comp

Is it possible to control a plugin, for example trapcode particular values, from another layer in another comp? like a cloned node in nuke?

Pond5 Stock Footage

quicktime issue

Hi all…question.
When I render out a cg product shot for one of my clients in OSX Leopard, or windows 7, I render it QT animation 100% with alpha.
I set the BG in AE to white, as I don’t need to see the alpha in QT.
Upon upgrading to Snow Leopard at work, Whenever we render out the QTs
We can see the alpha (unmated) against black.
This happens when viewing in QT7 or QTX

Is there anyway to set a preference so that we see it the old way…..with a white BG.
