am getting flickers in my walk through scenes. am using 3d max vray settings. i have added vray trees..

Environment render question

Hello all
i have a question to anyone who might have some insight…

i’ve got a scene with an Environment map rendering as my Background…is there a way to turn it off and still have it reflecting into my scene.

i just don’t want to spend the extra render time rendering it….

Baking Camera animation?

i have assigned a target camera to a path.i need to bake its animation,is there any way to do it??:confused::confused:

VRAY RENDERING PROBLEM


i create a 3d max model file with textur.
then i fill all the vray settings,
file size is proxy 50mb
all that done proper but when i was press f9 for render. it will be close or some time turn off my pc.
PLZ PLZ GET BACK TO ME IF ANY KNOW THE SOLUTION,

my pc

quad core q9550 2.66 Ghz. 4gb ram

BUT

no Graphic card.

Bending a barbell

I am animating a cartoon weightlifter lifting a heavy barbell and I would like the bar to bend under the weight as he lifts it. This is simple enough to achieve with a Bend modifier, however I would also like to have the weights attached to the bar rotate accordingly as the bar bends. Currently the bar itself bends but the weights float in space.

I am fairly new to 3D, I come from a compositing background so I do understand many of the concepts but just don’t know how to actually make them work. Could you link the bending of the bar to drive a parameter that moves the weights accordingly as if they are fixed to the bar. Any suggestions? I’m using Max 2011.

Z-Depth pass only

For the life of me i can’t figure out how to render out "only" a Z-depth render with Mental Ray….

Does anyone know if there is a way to render only specific passes without rendering the "Main scene"?

vray render issue

I rendered an image with vray and the railing of that image comes in a zig zag manner. My question is how to render railing smooth?
