shake2.56 vs nuke5.0v2 vs after effect ?

im want start to learn compositing i read some articles but im be confused to choose what softwares..

so for pc(windows os) there are shake v2.56 nuke 5.0v2 and after effect and i know shake and nuke are node base and after effect layer is base…so do u have any idea to start with which ones ? why?
