During the 1922 Boxing Championship, Darius “Pretty Face” DeLouis took an uppercut in the last round that sent him to an early grave. Some say seconds before his untimely demise he was heard uttering the following words; Striped Dreams, Checked Fear. Till this very day it is believed his spirit haunts an old boxing gym somewhere in the Reno, Nevada desert. Preparing. Celebrating. The last round he never fought.
