Space Science Sound System | Peter Kirn | TEDxESA

TEDxESA talk at the European Space Agency on 11 November, 2015:
Peter Kirn, Berlin-based electronic musician and media artist, prepared something extra special for TEDxESA. He used field recording techniques, impromptu sampling, and archival work to build a library of instruments based on the sounds of space exploration and space research that help us imagine the worlds of spaceflight and science.
With his impromptu “Space Science Sound System”, he remixed sounds of ESA’s technology, research, testing and exploration with inspirational “vocals” captured from the TEDxESA talks – and then turned the material into a jam that transformed lecture to dance hall.
Please find additional info and all the sounds recorded at ESTEC at http://blogs.esa.int/communication/2016/03/02/more-sounds-from-space/
