''Good Night, Dear'' – Jack Wells (as John Barnes Wells) (1909)

A pop song issued by Edison Records in 1909 as an Amberol cylinder. Video features vintage Kodak-related pictures and drawings from around 1909.
Edison Phonograph Monthly described this record as “A love ballad by still another singer who now enters the ranks of Edison artists. Mr. Wells is well known in New York and vicinity. He has a fine tenor voice, has sung in some of the best metropolitan church choirs and his name frequently appears on the best concert programmes. The song is the one introduced in the comedy, “Love Watches,” and sung with great success by Billie Burke. Its composer, Will R. Anderson, also wrote “Just Some One” (our Record No. 9847).”
