Melodie Tataryn was still suffering the effects of pain medication at the surgeon’s office when her parents came to check if she was alright.
Trying to soothe their 13-year-old daughter’s discomfort, her parents tell her she is getting ready for a performance.

Having made sure she isn’t on stage yet, Melodie, from Kelowna in British Columbia, Canada, makes sure to fix her hair so she has the ‘rock star look’.

Ready for stage, she breaks out into the chorus to Rihanna’s summer smash hit, singing through the cotton wool in her mouth.
Once she has finished the song, complete with a special dance routine, Melodie then tells mum and dad, Everest, to ‘peace out’.

Everest said: ‘We were very surprised at what the medication brought out of Melodie.
‘She is normally more quiet and reserved but she really loves her music.
‘This was the second concert she did after waking from her surgery.
‘We were there for over 30 minutes waiting for the effects of the medication to wear off but she was still loopy when they finally sent us home.
‘The whole episode was very entertaining.
‘She was even waving to people in the parking lot thinking they were fans on the way to her ‘limo’.’
