#FeatureFriday: Holidays will get better with the release of these VFX-based titles

Since, best things are kept for climax, many movies with mastered VFX are scheduled to hit the silver screen at the end of this year. Here are five upcoming movies which will go along with the festive season perfectly, as well as their spine-chilling and jaw-dropping visual effects will amaze the viewers.

Nutcracker and the Four Realms

With the beginning of the Halloween season The Nutcracker and the Four Realms will hit the theatre on 2 November 2018 in 2D and Real D 3D. A movie by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it will add to the list of Halloween fantasy princess. Directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston, and written by Ashleigh Powell and Tom McCarthy, the fantasy drama revolves around a young girl who finds a Nutcracker doll among the family’s gifts and is charged by her parents to take special care of it. The visual effects and CGI of the movie will take you to the Victorian era of huge castles, carriages, princess and enchantments.

Mary Poppins Returns

Wondering  what to watch this Christmas? Mary Poppins Returns is the answer. Directed by Rob Marshall and written by David Magee, taken from a story by Magee, Marshall, and John DeLuca, this family drama is a sequel to the 1964’s Mary Poppins and is scheduled to release on 19 December this year. Set in 1935 London, the movie will see a lot of visuals recreating the vintage London.

Overlord

Produced by Bad Robot Productions and Paramount Pictures, Overlord revolves around several American soldiers who get stuck behind enemy lines after D-Day and discover secret Nazi experiments. Looking at the trailer, Overlord seems packed with action and has a lot of VFX-based war sequences. The movie is scheduled to release 9 November 2018, spooking you right after the Halloween week.

Fantastic Beast Crimes of the Grindle World

A second installment of the Fantastic Beast Where to Find Them (2016), the Warner Bros produced and distributed movie Fantastic Beast Crimes of the Grindle World,  will release on 8 November 2018 (Paris) and 16 November 2018 (United Kingdom & United States). Directed by David Yates, and screenplay by J. K. Rowling, this is the tenth installment in the Wizarding World franchise. The movie revolves around Newt Scamander and Albus Dumbledore as they attempt to take down the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald. With lots of magic, spells, wands and enchantments, go on a wizardly adventure.

BumbleBee

Bumblebee is an upcoming American science fiction action film scheduled to hit the screens on 21 December. The movie is centred on the Transformers character of the same name. The film is directed by Travis Knight and written by Christina Hodson and Kelly Fremon Craig. Quench your thirst with this jam-packed action and science fiction.

Apart from the above mentioned movie release, there are lot of Netflix originals coming up, including Outlaw King movie, House of Cards Season 6Van Helsing Season 3Dark Season 1 and many more which will definitely entertain those who want to stay at home and enjoy the festive season.
