Researching the visual cortex in 1973, Blakemore selectively limited some cats’ exposure to visual stimuli to determine whether their brains would just “know” how to see certain kinds of shapes naturally. Short answer: nope.

Just to be clear: the title of the video is ironic. I wouldn’t post a clip of animals being tormented. When I was young, I underwent a treatment similar to that described early in the video, as did many kids with “lazy eye”.
