Baba Singh and His 200-Pound Turban


Baba Avtar Singh is a Sikh who lives in the northern Indian state of Punjab. As part of their religion, Sikh men wear turbans. Baba Singh, however, wears an especially large turban—quite possibly the largest anywhere. Weighing almost 200 pounds and comprised of more than 1,500 feet of fabric, Singh’s turban is even too large to fit in buses or cars, so he gets around by motorcycle. And he’s quite a sight to behold.
