The winners of the animago AWARD 2014 have been announced. The prominent international awards for animation, visual effects (VFX), visualisation, game design & interactive media were presented on Thursday evening at a festive gala event in the Metropolis Hall at Filmpark Potsdam-Babelsberg.

A total of 1,014 projects from 67 different nations were submitted for consideration as part of the 2014 animago competition. An independent jury comprising experts drawn from the areas of film, development and postproduction initially nominated 50 projects in ten categories (five in each category) and chose the final award-winning productions from among these nominees.

The award ceremony is the highpoint of the animago AWARD & CONFERENCE currently taking place (16/17 October) in Potsdam-Babelsberg. The event brings together high-ranking national and international industry experts and roughly 1,000 participants, including delegations from this year’s partner countries of Canada and Poland.
