Forms VI

Forms is a collaborative film series devised by London based, creative sound studio Mount Audio. The ongoing project sees Mount team up with leading visual artists each month to create unique audiovisual works. Forms VI showcases the dynamic motion work of award winning design studio Carbon. Following the success of their Pause Fest Motion Response, the studios have teamed up once again to deliver a compelling audiovisual collaboration. The film follows a single thread as it courses through a desolate environment and becomes intwined with other fibres. These are slowly woven into an intricate human form. Inspired by Carbon’s interpretation, Mount have focussed their soundtrack around the human voice. Toronto-based photographer Pat O’Rourke is the focus of the first film in a new trilogy from Canadian directors Paul Johnston and Adam Beck, which explores the lives of young artists who are making their mark on the world. The trilogy is supported by global creative project The Creator Class; a community of visual storytellers led by and for its members, helping them to turn their passions into a lifestyle and a living. Self-taught photographer O’Rourke has amassed a dedicated online following thanks to his combination of skate culture and documentary imagery, capturing life on the streets of his city.

Missionbit: Creating Equality Through Code

Coding is probably the most useful thing kids can learn to do these days. But only 25% of K-12 schools in the U.S. offer computer science with programming and coding. Megan Rose Dicky sits down with Stevon Cook, CEO of Mission Bit. Mission Bit works closely with the San Francisco Unified School District to offer semester-long computer programming courses to public school students.
