A behind the scenes look into the process of making my graduation film, Close the Shutters. The film tells the story of a young man as he tries to hold on to the image of his sick grandfather, by piecing together fragments of memories he has of him. The film combines still photography, rotoscope animation and stop motion. this version is a tribute to the original of Chris Marker film’s . Initially I had to restore the plans in HD to finally give them some life without too much to distort the film. I respect the original work and this version is in no way this case to replace the original version of Chris Marker’s film. Cette version de LA JETEE est un hommage au film de Chris Marker. Au départ je devais restaurer les plans en HD pour finalement leurs donner un peu de vie sans trop dénaturer le film. je respecte l’oeuvre originale et cette version n’est en aucun cas là pour remplacer la version originale du film de Chris Marker.
