Cobra en HD – A bientôt Cobra – Episode 31

A bientôt Cobra – Episode 31 – Cobra Space Adventure
Cobra croit avoir retrouvé Dominique. Il s’agit en réalité de Murielle, grande prêtresse d’une secte. Elle se prépare à lancer dans l’espace une immense statue qui sera symbole de paix. Mais une drôle de surprise les attends !

Kola Super Deep, Russia.

I am extremely thankful to Annette Wolfsberger, one of the Dark Ecology producers, to pick me up and drop me off at the Kola Super Deep before the start of the soundwalk by Justin Bennett, programmed for the third Dark Ecology Journey.
I was there before any of the participants (locals and Dark Ecology Researchers) arrived. It was an amazing – me and a hand full of the production team, all alone in this eerie, magical space.

I tried to make some documentation, but forgive me, this is the first time I make a first perspective video and I did not have all the background information about the space, nor about the soundwalk, so this is me basically doing a dry run without context, preparation or rehearsal. It was there to make photos but decided photos would not cover the feeling at all.

I am also sorry for my bouncy walk, I am a bouncy walker in general but the the snowmobile suit kind of amplified my steps.

The VFX industry is always changing

mags

Nothing really ever stays the same, but one of the fun things about visual effects is how much the technology, artistry and the business changes. There’s also often new ways of hearing or learning about VFX – over the years I’ve got my information from books, magazines, online articles, podcasts, DVD featurettes, tutorials, seminars and of course face to face.

Now I’m excited to be part of a new communication medium – the Visual Effects Society’s brand new print magazine VFX Voice. I wrote some pieces in there on Ghost in the Shell, Westworld, Kong: Skull Island, Cars 3 and a bunch more. Loved the process – and you can grab the magazine now, or read it online at http://vfxvoice.com.
