NASA: On the Edge of Forever
Posted in: Animation
When Star Trek originally aired in 1966, NASA’s space program was still in its infancy. But Star Trek allowed us to imagine what could be, if we dared to boldly go where no one had gone before.
Visualized in the Star Trek universe as massive docking ports for star ships exploring the unknown, inhabited space stations have been a reality for over 15 years. Supported by nations around the globe, the International Space Station supports science and research on how humans can survive in the cosmos, laying the ground work for journeys well beyond our own planet. NASA is on the Journey to Mars, and the International Space Station is a critical test bed for the technologies that will get us there.
The path to exploring the furthest stars starts at our planetary neighbors, and today we’re closer than ever to humans making those first footprints in alien soil.

A surf film I directed for Reef a few years back. Just realized I did have the master online, so decided I would post. Such an amazing collaboration with Mark Tesi, the Creative Director that I Directed this alongside. Shot on location in Tahiti, South Africa, Australia, Indonesia, and Bali, the film was inspired by me sitting digging way too deep into Jaques Cousteau documentaries from the 60’s… hence the creative direction and sound sampling. Directed by: Russell Brownley and Mark Tesi Cinematography by: Russell Brownley, Chris Bryan, Paul Daniels, Bali Strickland, Nic Mclean Produced by: Shea Perkins Edited by: Russell Brownley and Noah Carlson Color by: Matt Fezz Music: Grimes, Ty Segal, Big Data, Carryok
The Search for Earth Proxima

Since astronomers first discovered exoplanets in 1995, we’ve come to learn that there are a staggering amount of planets out there in the universe. But, we have yet to find one that’s habitable, aside from our own. The Search for Earth Proxima is a short documentary about a group of scientists and their mission to build a telescope to hunt for an Earth-like planet around our closest neighbor: Alpha Centauri. Co-Directed by Brett Marty & Josh Izenberg Cinematography: Owen Bissell, Andy Quinn Time Lapse Photography: Andy Quinn, Brett Marty, Josh Izenberg Editors: Kee Heywood, Hamilton Henson Title Design: Colin Gill Produced by Brett Marty & Josh Izenberg Special Thanks: MissionCentaur.com, The SETI Institute, NASA Ames Research Center, European Southern Observatory, VLT, ALMA, Triple Ring Technologies, Positron Dynamics, Onda Corporation, and La Ventana Cine. Ketchup | How It's Made

Though ketchup today uses tomato as a base, early versions did not. They were made from anchovies, shallots, oysters, lemons, or walnuts.

Warning: Horrible picture quality. A shame, it’s a nice drama about an aging sheriff fighting against illegal gambling. James Bell guest stars.

Since the debut of Daredevil series on Netflix, there has been a huge fan following and craze for Marvel’s shows. Netflix was taken by storm by the immense positive response it received from viewers not just in North America but across the globe. Daredevil is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and is the first in a series of shows that will lead up to The Defenders crossover miniseries.
The Defenders will witness the crossover of ‘Hell’s Kitchen Heroes’ Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist on Netflix. Jessica Jones premiered on Netflix in November 2015 and owing to its response it received, Marvel announced a second season of it. After Daredevil’s successful first run, it got itself a second season that released in March 2016.
And now finally Marvel announced at San Diego Comic-Con that Daredevil will get season three whose production will start post The Defenders. Along with this news, Marvel unveiled three new teasers at SDCC for Netflix series that are in the works: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders.
They released a full teaser to this fall’s Luke Cage that’s set to debut on 20 September. In the series, Mike Colter reprises his Jessica Jones role as Cage, a wrongly-accused fugitive left super-strong and unbreakable after an experiment. The series will see Luke relocating uptown from Jones’ and Daredevil’s home turf of Hell’s Kitchen to Harlem, where Cage will take on criminal kingpin Cottonmouth Stokes, the cousin of a local politician played by Alfre Woodard.
Iron Fist follows Danny Rand (Finn Jones), the son of a murdered business mogul who masters martial arts, and eventually a mystical power that makes his fists inhumanly strong, to avenge his murdered parents. The show debuts in 2017, as does Defenders.
Release dates for a second season of Jones, Daredevil season 3, and a Punisher series haven’t been released.
Next stop: Hell’s Kitchen. #Daredevil Season 3 is coming soon. #MarvelSDCChttps://t.co/hdSmN4mfMv
