Urban Nightscapes Texas

Please watch in Fullscreen & HD with sound for the best experience. Urban Nightscapes Texas is the first in what I expect to be a series of timelapse videos that combine the dynamic lifestyle of the city life with the serenity I feel when I’m under the stars. As far as I am aware of, this is the first timelapse video of it’s kind where the starry nights co-exist with the moving city. This has been a personal project that I have been working on over the last year. I initially had set out to do a series of still photos with recognizable locations from the main cities in Texas (Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio); but I decided to go a little further and make it a moving piece rather than a static one. I need to clarify that the stars in the video have been added through digital manipulation and the sky doesn’t look that way inside the city due to the light pollution. I did my best effort to try to simulate the sky as it would have looked without light pollution but I am aware that not all the segments have achieved that. Modica in a Timelapse

[ENG] Modica, in the south of Sicily, is a little baroque city. MAXON to Showcase Cinema 4D R16 at CTNX Expo November 21 – 23, 2014

Wed 19th Nov 2014 | News

MAXON, the developer of professional 3D modeling, painting, animation and rendering solutions, invites show attendees to visit its exhibitor booth (B16/Hall A) at Creative Talent Network Animation eXpo (CTNX), November 21-23, in Burbank, Calif. CTNX is an animation convention that focuses on putting “the talent” center stage. The event brings together creative professionals from the digital and traditional worlds of animation and features workshops and educational sessions, artist and vendor demos.

MAXON returns as a show exhibitor and has enlisted the talents of Chris Korn, a veteran Cinema 4D artist and motion graphics and character animator at Zoic Studios in Los Angeles, to showcase the features in the latest version of Cinema 4D – R16 – that gives animators the ability to easily create imagery. “I can’t wait to be surrounded by all the amazing talent at CTN and show-off the awesome sculpting tools in C4D R16!” says Korn.

Cinema 4D is acclaimed for delivering easy-to-use and reliable tools that deliver exceptional 3D graphics. At CTNX, Mike Stamm, a director at Luckbat Studio will also be showing the progress of The Ottoman, a 3D animated short film currently in production that is relying on a Cinema 4D workflow; table T-151 Hall B.

Celluloid

Artjail teamed up with acclaimed video artist Marco Brambilla to create this short film that was acquired by Vera Wang and is currently installed in her flagship Beverly Hills store. The installation is an impressive 8 panel wall mounted version that plays as an offset reel of film. The film was originally shot on Red Camera then effected in Autodesk Flame. We created transitions stitching multiple takes into one seamless clip and digitally hand painted degradation techniques to the footage. Out of the Flame the footage was scanned to 35mm motion picture film, where it was further degraded in multiple passes using bleach and other photo chemical processes. Those results were then loaded back into the flame where we used elements of the multiple degraded film prints to create more specific degradation. The silhouettes and other visual cues were also something handled in Flame. Thank You for Vaping: The E-Cigarette Debate
