Comedy Central PosterRoaster – die App zur Europawahl Schlechte Wahlplakate gab es ja schon immer. Aber so sinnbefreit waren sie selten. Deshalb entschied Comedy Central, sich dem Thema anzunehmen und den potenziellen Wählern vor Augen zu führen, was die Parteien eigentlich da von sich geben. Wir machen jetzt Schluss damit und zeigen mit unserer Augmented Reality-App auf insgesamt 40 vorausgewählten Plakaten, was die Politiker eigentlich sagen wollen. Wir können damit hoffentlich einen wichtigen Beitrag leisten, dass künftig wieder mehr Hirn in Wahlwerbung gesteckt wird. MUPPette – Mobile Unmanned Printing Platform

A fully automated mobile platform for 3D printing capable of producing objects of limitless scale does not currently exist. In the hope of remedying this situation, Gensler’s Los Angeles office initiated Mobile 3D Printing, a Gensler research project born from an observation of present-day 3D printing technology and its limitations. Microsoft and renowned filmmaker Paul Trillo joined forces to create a smartphone system that allows users to control multiple Nokia Lumia 1020 devices wirelessly and simultaneously. Designed for the Windows 8 mobile platform, the “bullet effect” is a technical first on a mobile device, offering 100% mobility.

After connecting 50 Nokia Lumia devices, a separate, designated Surface tablet was used as a remote control, creating the “Lumia Arc of Wonder”. The result reveals the phones’ incredible capabilities for striking, vivid imagery, whilst pushing the boundaries of photography and technology.

A Dangerous Journey

‘A Dangerous Journey’ (part funded by Comic Relief) warns young African women of the dangers of being coerced and tricked into prostitution by traffickers who use scare tactics perpetrated by native doctors and false promises. The campaign was launched in the House of Lords in October 2012. The film won the Gold World Medal at the 2013 New York Festivals and the 2013 Human Trafficking Foundation Media Award.
