Shader Software Engineers
We are seeking a motivated and versatile graphics software developer to join the Sony Imageworks Development team. You will be working with a group of experienced developers with strong ties to the ray-tracing research community. This position can be located in Culver City, CA or Vancouver, BC, Canada
Responsibilities:
oDesign, program and support shaders
oProblem solving and developing improved rendering efficiencies
oCreate and support UI for artists, providing tools for user-friendly controls
oDesign, develop, and maintain proprietary scripts used in production when necessary
Qualifications:
oMinimum 4 years of production shader writing experience
oGood understanding of production workflow and requirements
oAbility to problem solve and communicate well with coworkers at all levels of experience
oExperience in C++ shader writing required
oProduction experience with ray tracers preferred
oLinux scripting experience, especially in Bash/Python, highly desirable
oDegree in CS or related program desirable
