Autosave sometimes doesn’t work if you haven’t saved the script

I think this has happened to me quite a few times now.

Nuke saves autosave files in the same folder that you’ve saved the project but if you haven’t saved yet, I have no idea where they go.

Nuke crashes. You open it back up expected the "autosave script for Untitled-1 found, do you want to restore it?" dialog box to come it.

It doesn’t. You’ve just wasted a whole morning’s work.

Am I missing something here?

Shake may not have had an undo but since autosave doubled as an undo, I think I preferred Shake in this one respect. But then I did just lose a morning’s work.

Form to load .mov in Fusion x64 bit (¿?)

Hi!

I’m new here!

I’ve been searching for a thread like this, but all I found is relaconated with render in quicktime.

The fact is that I need to load .mov footage in Fusion x64 bit. But, thre is not quicktime for windows 64 bit.

I just need load, because major of my footage library is in .mov, and in this case, I need to work with a 5k image, load some fires and smokes, and Fusion 32 bit breaks when I change the position of one fire (Because the 5K image I suspect)

One friend that use Fusion since many years, can charge .mov footage in his fusion 64 bit. Atention, he only can load .mov, but he can’t do a quicktime render.

As he know, is because he has instaled K-Lite codec Pack 64bit 4.10. I try with 4.20, and I can’t load any .mov footage.

Somebody can load .mov footage in to fusion 64 bit with this codec pack or another option?

Alternative Quicktime 64 bit realy works to load .mov?

Adjusting a projected Roto

Hey

I have a projection setup for a difficult removal. Its working fine until i reach a frame where i want to animate the roto to cover a different area. When viewing the projection and adjusting the roto moves but does not create a new keyframe, also if i try from its settings they are greyed out.

I tried viewing the roto before it is fed to the project3D node and im able to adjust it then but that doesnt help me out because i cant see what im doing and even then it doesnt work correctly.

Im using Nuke6.2, is this a known bug?

Cheers

masking a mask

Shadow Catcher in Nuke 3D

So I’m using Nuke 6.1v2 to do some basic matchmove shots.

I have a 3D cube that’s tracking well in the shot, but I would like it to cast a shadow or occlude a plane so you can see the contact. I don’t want the plane to render anything but the shadow cast by the cube.

Is there a decently easy way to do this? I’m probably overlooking something very obvious. 😀

The other option I thought of was just using a rotopaint ‘shadow’ as the texture for the plane.

Thanks!

Python: singleLineInput that depends on a CheckBoxBoolean … how do you do?

Hi Folks,

I have a singleLineInput that I would like to activate or deactivate depending if a CheckBoxBoolean is set within the same panel.
I imagine the deactivation to be something like the typical grayed out field.

Is there a simple way of doing this?

Thanks in advance.
