Boujou to nuke export : 4 point track

Hi Nuke users

I Exported the 4 point track from boujou (file per track and order bottom left) to nuke and also exported to Shake(export to shake option) . Both values are same in each frame, But nuke not giving perfect track, but the same values in shake is giving perfect 4 point track.

Nuke is taking the average track for 4 point, but why the track is not perfect like shake when exporting from boujou.

is there anyway to get the perfect 4 point track from boujou to nuke like shake.

Thanks

What is Nuke used for?

Hello, I am interested in Nuke 6.1 (for linux)
But when I got the trial version, it could not load any sort of video, and could not render to any sort of video, and I’ve heard it’s mostly for images?
It seems like it would be a great video editor, so I’m confused as to what it’s purpose is.
Please leave a short description of what it is used for, and what it isn’t used for
Thank you 🙂

PreComp node within gizmo.

Hi,

Is there any reason why using a PreComp node within a gizmo might lead to undesired results? We have been trialing the use of the PreComp node to reference scripts that contain nodes that require occasional updates.

When the node tree is used in a group it works correctly, but when used as a gizmo the PreComp node forces parts of the node tree to be disconnected and re-wired on save & reopen. If I remove the PreComp node from the gizmo it’s all ok.

Vray into Nuke and After Effects

I wrote a couple articles about getting Vray render elements into Nuke and After Effects. Thought it would be relevant here.

Stereoscopic Smoke

Hey All,
I may have to comp in some smoke into a stereoscopic shot. Would it make sense to also shoot that smoke with the same stereoscopic rig? I would be worried about the keying not matching between eyes, thus messing up it’s depth.

Would it be best to shoot the smoke 2D and just layer it?

Thanks!
