VFX404 – [WIP] Team Frantic

So getting a group together for this challenge…. slightly late…. hence the team name… 🙂

Kyle Rottman
Jake Zander
David Pumpa
Nate Sims

We’ve actually been talking about it since the beginning of last week, but didn’t want to start a WIP until it was really happening, and we just managed to get some actors and do a mini road-trip to the desert near San Diego and shoot it today so it’s finally starting to come together.

I’ll post up some storyboards or the animatic shortly. We are going a bit of a different direction with the bad weather theme… 🙂

Workshops or Courses for VFX HELP!

I just find out about this Forum it seems great there is a lot of people interest on vfx, and willing to help 🙂

here is the thing, Im having a lot of trouble finding a GOOD VFX schools
Currently im living in Mexico and as you can see here there are no good school for VFX so im trying to take my skills to the next level…

I found VFS as one of the best visual effects schools at vancouver, and Gnomon, i look a little deeper and i found Vanarts which seems pretty decent.
But the tutition for international students is WAY too expensive.

I really want to study at VFS so i started Working for about 6 Months now.
and still $53,000 US dlls as a non graduated career profesional… seems really far away.

I stop studying here in Mexico since they don’t have any visual effect school, only some kind of filmmaking which is really far from what you can call ‘filmmaking’ i found out i learn way more by myself with some tutorials online.

Right now im looking for any good and intensive workshops or courses for VFX
in the united states or canada until i decide where to study.

i will really appreciate any information
i’ve look in ALOT of websites for months, maybe someone can point me at the right direction. i will probably love you the rest of my life. 🙂

Fusion Books

Hi all, I just have a quick question. I am a student at DAVE School and in a few weeks will be moving from my animation class to my VFX and compoisting class. I know that Fusion 5.1 is a program that we will be learning how to use. I was wondering if anyone would be able to suggest a a good book to pick up and read before i head into class.

Thank you for the help:D
