hardware spec help

Hi Folks,

I am hoping to purchase a copy of nuke , but i want to get a great windows set up first.
Basically it will need to work well with nuke and be able to take footage from a red cam.
The choices are between dell and Hp….please could you recommend an exact set up , with as much info about how many hard disks and how much memory and what processor etc.

I have a maximum of $5000 including the video card which i am assuming would be an Nvidea card.

I want it to have a great screen also in that price?

Smoke Fluids and Live action

Hi guys I was wondering if I can get some advice. I have someone on gs and I was want smoke to go around him while he walks. What I am think of is building a fluid container to make my smoke. I would use a cylinder for his legs as proxy geometry, and animate to the way the person walks, then hide the primary visibility when it comes times to render. Do you think will give me a good result ?
