Rotate Pivot
Posted in: Digital Fusion TutorialsI want to rotate the pivot of a rectangular mask. When i change the ‘angle’ mask rotates but not the transform handles. I have to animate the mask in just on axis but i want to key just the X or Y axis…. Consider this question like to change the transformation handles in max or maya by changing pivot from Local to Gimble or World axis etc.
Thanks in advance…
but nothing i can use for my shot .
i will give anything for some one to help me figure out why i suck at tracking .. is it the lens distortion or the cordinate system? i dont know . but im sure one of you do .. i will hook you up with a huge collection of sound fx that i made if you can help me out with this shot . ..
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in VFX (film or commercials) preferably, but we will consider individuals from Games or other 3D animation areas. We would like to see knowledge of Maya, 3DSMax as a bonus, experience with compositing (Nuke, Fusion, After Effects), some MEL scripting would also be advantageous. You don’t need to be a character animator, but you should show a generalist knowledge of all (non character animation) aspects of VFX production. If you’ve ever trained staff to use software, that’s a useful skill to us.
This is a great opportunity for someone who fancies a career change and who enjoys working with students and helping them develop their skills while working on a course whose students have won many awards for their work.
If you want to discuss this opportunity informally please email Martin Bowman, Senior Lecturer m.p.bowman@herts.ac.uk

GRIDWARP NODE…help!
Posted in: NUKE from The FoundryI am using the Gridwarp node to warp an image for a tv. The Tv has a bow on the sides, so I need to warp out the middle. My problem is, all though I can warp the image, the edges will not warp out. It’s like it auto-crops the edges and will not allow me to change the shape of the image.
Anyone know what i’m talking about? any work arounds?
Thanks,
Lou
blu “BIG BANG BIG BOOM”
Posted in: big bang, blu, evolution, General, Stop-motion, wall drawingUpgraded by popular internal and external demand! Check out blu‘s latest short film — BIG BANG BIG BOOM: an unscientific point of view on the beginning and evolution of life… and how it could probably end.
It revisits the stop-motion wall-painting of COMBO and MUTO, but takes it to the next level, both in terms of technique and narrative. Who doesn’t love clever hermit crabs, flying jellyfish, dino-sharpeners, katamari, and literal bullet-time?
Props to Andrea Martignoni on the nicely integrated soundtrack and ARTSH.it for production/distribution. and, of course, blu for the mind-blowing vision.
