Scott Benson: Rendezvous’ “The Murf”

Scott Benson can’t seem to stop putting out creative work, whether it’s light-hearted (Opposites, Future Trends in Motion Graphics) or helping himself and others ponder more serious themes (Rebranding, On the Subject of Depression). His music video for Rendezvous’ “The Murf” pairs a cosmic story with beautiful, stylized design that will both make you make you smile and wonder about the future.

blu “BIG BANG BIG BOOM”

Upgraded by popular internal and external demand! Check out blu‘s latest short film — BIG BANG BIG BOOM: an unscientific point of view on the beginning and evolution of life… and how it could probably end.

It revisits the stop-motion wall-painting of COMBO and MUTO, but takes it to the next level, both in terms of technique and narrative. Who doesn’t love clever hermit crabs, flying jellyfish, dino-sharpeners, katamari, and literal bullet-time?

Props to Andrea Martignoni on the nicely integrated soundtrack and ARTSH.it for production/distribution. and, of course, blu for the mind-blowing vision.

Three Legged Legs for Wrigley’s

wrigleys_3ll
The Three Legged Legs have been busy the past few months as they drop two spots for Wrigley’s: Evolution and Universe. Although the evolution concept is nothing new (see Saturn and Guinness) the Legs brought the humor and unique aesthetic flavor that we’ve come to know and love. Their attention to detail, from miniature environments to CG characters, is worth a second watch.

However, the thing that all of us at Motionographer HQ can’t get enough of is Three Legged Leg’s amazing behind-the-scenes pages. Like most of their projects, they share every step of their creative and technical process. So, if you’ve got some time to kill or are a student looking to demystify some inspiring work — get lost in it.
