“Decisive moments” is a short film of the student Vitor Teixeira in the specialization of Computer Animation, Master degree in Som e Imagem of the Escola das Artes. This animation is based on the visual aesthetics that call for meticulous observation of forms of beauty manifested in our day to day. Their non-verbal narrative, no plot and absent of any actor or argument, consists of a series of fleeting images of nature, water and fire, in a unique perspective, photographically appealing to many defining moments, where the clash occurs and the exhibition forms.

MC 4 does not play p2 media smoothly.. help me please

Hi.. I am using Avid Media Composer 4.2

before some days am committed a HD project.
But after inserting the MXF file from p2 media(Camera : hvx301) , avid MC4 does not playing it smoothly.. both in full screen and also in sequence..

My Sys configuration is:

Processor :intel Core2 duo E4500 @ 2.2 ghz
motherboard : D945G
RAM : 2gb
Harddisk : 250 gb for boot and 1 tb (7200)for data
Graphic card : Nvidia Getforce 7100 GS (512 MB)

Linear EXRs from RED-file – how do I work with them?

I’m playing around and testing a EXR workflow. We mostly use RED-files, and in RedcineX (or any other program that can render R3D) you have the choice the choose Linear as gamma curve. And in RedcineX you can only export with linear gamma if you choose EXR. That’s fine I guess. But, now I have a problem. As I load the files inte Nuke (or AE), I get a very dark image. My read is setup as Linear, and I look through the standard sRGB viewing LUT. Is this as it should be? If I add a colorspace node and set my out to sRGB I get a much nicer image. But that can’t be the right workflow, can it?

problem with modeling

i start work with maya last night and try to modeling all thing in my house so i have problem with this:
1-how i can select an area of my model and creat it to another object i work in nurbs mode.
2-how i can cut an area of my model and do it to another object i nurbs mode?
3-how i acn resize an area of an object but dont change other place of the object in nurbs mode?

Tetro

I recently watched this film, and while I have mixed feelings about the film itself, the title blew me away. Made by SFAUSTINA Design last year, it’s a typographical feast for the eyes. Some of the type compositions are reminiscent of the golden era of Hollywood in the 1940s (see above, where director’s name, film title, and main actor’s name appear on the same screen). The animation of the type hints at the key visual device that runs throughout the film (lights and reflections), which in turn relates a key element in the story. Canon EOS5D…

Hello to all.. now a few days ago some of my friends took the canon EOS5D camera for a video shoot.. I came to know that it had a full resolution recording capacity.. We shot with the camera but when we took it to some software like Fusion or Nuke, we could see a lot artifacts and we could see some little burnt pixels.. Now why is that happening.. Is it because.. the EOS5D is more of a photo camera than a video one.. or the professional camcorders like HF 200 or something can do a better job at video recording.. just wanted to know about this..
