Primary tools:
Nuke, After Effects, Lightwave 3D, Photoshop
Other tools:
Illustrator, Final Cut Studio
Previous experience on feature-length projects.
Experience with various digital workflows including RED.
IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3148815/

VFX Online Town Hall with Chris deFaria, Jeffrey Okun, Scott Ross
Monday, March 29, 2010 from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM (PT)
VFX Online Townhall
an open disccusion of a visual effects industry in transition
Effects driven films like Avatar are breaking box office records while visual effects facilities are forced to shut their doors and most VFX workers face long hours, no benefits and little credit.
It’s time to start talking about the state of the visual effects industry — where we are, how we got here and what can be done to move the industry forward in a way that’s fair and thriving for artists, facilities and the studios.
We’ve assembled a world class panel with different perspectives and now we’d like to invite you to be part of the conversation. The discussion is open to everyone with an interest in the visual effects industry.
Panelists include
Chris deFaria — Vice President, Warner Bros. Pictures
Jefferey A. Okun — Visual Effects Society Chair and visual effects supoervisor
Scott Ross — Co-Founder of Digital Domain & former CEO of Industrial, Light and Magic
The panel will be moderated by Lee Stranahan, a former visual effects artist and writer for The Huffington Post whose Open Letter To James Cameron: Fairness For VIsual Effects Artists started discussions all around the world.
WHERE: It’s online! You will be able to attend from the comfort of your own Mac, Windows or Linux computer. Sign up and you’ll be emailed log-in details…

I’m trying to develop my matchmoving skills, and I’m playing around with PFTrack. Having found boujou to not only be incredibly ugly to look at, but also really slow solving scenes that really shouldn’t be too taxing computationally, I’m really enjoying it and finding it to be a rewarding experience and a really capable software package.
However, I’m looking for further training resources to expand my knowledge beyond the basic documentation and I’m hoping for suggestions. I’ve heard (from several sources) that the cmiVFX PFTrack tutorials are pretty disappointing so I’m reluctant to go with them, but PFTrack training seems pretty thin on the ground.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance.
