ObjectID Pass

It may be a beginer question but i am confused.

How exactly do i use a RenderID pass inside nuke? I have a multipass render that ive putt together in a nukescript and it works fine. But how do i take a RenderID, ObjectID, MaterialID or any other ID pass to affect only a portion of the image when color correcting? I havent find the option for that.

I want to have my project settings as soon as I launch a new nuke. How can I save them. Like frame rate, format…
can I set this by default?

Gobelins: “Un tour de Manege (Merry Go Round)”

Watching Un tour de Manège (Merry Go Round) is like flipping through the pastel drawings of a child—but coming away with clean fingers. Directed by Nicolas Anthanè, Brice Chevillard, Alexis Liddell, Francoise Losito, and Mai Nguyen, this latest Gobelins short is an impressionistic tale of being lost and found, as experienced through a child’s eyes.

Saying so much by doing so little, Un tour de Manège gets it right. It’s tactile: full of tonal and shading effects, chalky, and sprinkled in baby-powder. It’s innocent: tapping into the existential dramas of childhood, and like many works from the Gobelins school, crystallizing emotions like fear and loneliness in graphical simplicity. These moments are brief, but define a coming of age for the character, and help to humanize the inherent flaw by providing an escape from reality. Liberation by imagination.

The narrative is simple, buttressed by the fundamentals of good storytelling, and follows the same three-act structure documented at the turn of the 19th century. Much is left unexplained. The audience is left to fill in the blanks, without papering over the poetic nuance.

“os.path.join” problem with slash

Hello
I am new learning python.
So I wanted to modify a script I found on a tutorial so that’s work for my directories.
It is a script to create a Write node which create directory of my scene right where it should be.
It’s working for creating my directories on the good folders, but the things that isn’t working is the filename in my write node.
Slash are like this \ instead of like this /.
For exemple when I run it and I type in my write node, seq 10, plan 5, version 3, here is what I get:
I:/Images/Project/Compo\s10_p5\v03\s10_p5_v03.%04d.exr
it’s the line "os.path.join" which doesn’t seem right, but How could I change it?

Nuke pipeline

HI everyone,

Im plannin to make a proper post production pipeline for the studio in which im working… can anyone suggest me a pipeline which involves maya & max as 3d softwares and NUKE as compositor.

1. How to set up 3d software’s ( output file format ).
2. How to set up NUKE.
3. How to calculate the man hours.
4. How to keep track of the shots & its status.
