How vfx is shot
Posted in: The PadWith a very thin line separating a real scene from a vfx scene, many times it is really difficult to say which was done in vfx and how. I have visited some good sites which give the ‘before’ and ‘after’ shots of vfx scenes, but these are at a very high and professional level. It rarely explains one how this was shot (exept for a few ‘making of …’ movies).
When you work in a production environment, you are automatically exposed to these and pick up your strings right away. But for an ametuer and freelancer, it becomes very difficult to get the right scene and to open it up to understand the ‘how’.
Any suggestions???
