CGSociety’s Watchmen coverage focusses on Dr Manhattan and Rorschach.
Founded by Sean Rodwell, the Aeiform studio works extensively in the field of image making on a range of advertising, fashion, music and editorial projects.
I’m a short film maker from Melbourne, Australia. I’ll soon be starting with an animated sci-fi short (under 2 minutes duration). I would like to collaborate with a CGI animation artist for this project. The project is non-commercial. It will give any aspiring animator an opportunity to experiment, gain experience, and bring their work to more people.
In terms of style, it can either be 2D or 3D, or maybe involve a bit of both, but more importantly I’m looking at a dark and wet/rainy look. Nothing fancy though.
If you are interesting in discussing this project further, then drop me a private message.
Cheers 🙂
Directing duo Superelectric (Henk Loorbach) & Andre Maat created this series ( part 1 / part 2 ) of idents for Fox Cult (Italy). Produced with Pool Worldwide, these pieces were an off-shoot of a music video Superelectric had done for Kraak n Smack. Simple, seamless and clever executions make each one of these 17 idents an enjoyable watch. Additionally, the palette and quirk of their art direction keep them planted in the Dutch world of whimsy.
You may have also caught this video I posted in January for De Staat. Keep your eyes on these fellas in 09.

I’m wondering how can I achieve such results
check the starting of both movies, I’m wondering how these light-streak style cloudy things are created.. Fractal art ? if yes, how ? if no, how ?

I was working on an assignment on the PLE launch of Nuke and tried to open it on a licensed version and found that it wasn’t possible. Does anyone know a way to get a Nkple file to open on a licensed verison of Nuke? Thanks.
If not, am i doomed to using merge/time offset combo’s along with my effect nodes in order for the effects to be accurate over time?
