Nuke on New 13″ Macbook

Anyone know if Nuke and Final Cut Studio will work on the new 13" Macbooks? the old ones didn’t have the Video Ram, but the new ones have 256MB of Shared Ram. Do you think that would handle FCP and Nuke? Thanks.

FumeFX Training ?

I started learning FumeFX, but I need some training for it. I’m unable to solve some advanced settings, and my renders do look ugly with hard edges (in fire).

I thought there could be some training covering up from the basics to the expert and more detailed settings of fumeFX.

Thank you.

CG Cloth & Footage composite

Hi guys I’m trying to figure out an approach to a particular VFX shot, maybe someone can tell me if my reasoning is correct?

Basically it will be a locked off camera shooting an actor, if I want to add some cloth extensions to his cloths that he’s currently wearing, I’m thinking that I will have to place tracking markers on the existing clothes & attach accordingly.

Anyone got an alternative workflow?

Kind regards

exr colorspace

Hi guys…need help!!!!

I’ve got an image rendered as 16bit float exr out of houdini. Read them into nuke with sRGB colourspace. The beauty pass looks fine. What baffles me is the color pass which i’ve extracted with a shuffle node. The colorspace seems to have reverted to linear instead of sRGB. Is that how its suppose to be? If you notice the image on the right looks washed.

I added a colourspace node after the shuffle node to get it to look like how its suppose to.(bottom image).

My question is, are we suppose to do add a colourspace node after extracting each pass out of exr files or did i simply miss something?

:confused::confused::confused:
