best and worst vfx/animation companies

Hi I was just wondering what are the worst and best companies to work for? I have one company in particular, Stereo D. At my last gig, some former artists that worked there said they were bad to work for. They said some of the supervisors had ego trips. I was just wondering if anyone had similar experiences, or know of any other "terrible" studios. Sometimes its not all about the money. It is about a pleasant work environment where you work on awesome projects, meet new colleagues, and not have to work 14 hour days! That is just my opinion. Anyone feel free to share your two cents on this matter.
