Sauce FX studios in Wellington, New Zealand has an immediate opening for a intermediate/senior lighting technical director to work closely with our creative team on an international commercial.

Sauce FX Studios, a leading Post production facility based in Wellington, New Zealand, is currently looking for a 3D LTD with strong all round skills that are able to take the initiative when needed and also to work well in a team environment.

The must haves are:
• A minimum of 5 years industry experience preferably in high end commercial work.
• A high level of Vray and Mentalray for Maya knowledge
• A strong shading and texturing knowledge
• At least an intermediate knowledge of generalist Maya skills.
• A fantastic commercials reel
• An ability to turn around iterations quickly

Bonus points for:
• Scripting
• Knowledge of Deadline and render management
• Experience working on car or premium product commercials
• Practical photographic or film experience
• Production experience

Please note that we work in a Windows environment and an understanding of the limitations of this should be accepted as part of the role.

This position is starting in the next week so the successful applicant will either already be living in New Zealand or be prepared to relocate to take on this role. We will only consider applicants that are already residents of New Zealand and/or have a valid working visa.
