Based in Los Angeles, with locations in Vancouver, London and New York, Method is a leading post production facility providing a full range of visual effects services. Recent feature credits for Method include; Nightmare on Elm Street, Sorcerers Apprentice, Let Me In, Life as we Know it and Gullivers Travel.
Current shows in production include, Captain America, X-men, Cristiada, This Means War and Wrath of the Titans.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise the tracking of CG elements, both camera and objects to match live-action footage in a 3D environment and to maintain consistent shot quality
Work with production to create matchmove schedules and project targets for your show
Will Define any specific matchmove tools required for the show and identify any additions or modifications
Will act as the point of contact between Matchmove and show supervisors
Must be able to assist with any Technical/Production issues
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience in a large pipeline feature-film VFX production environment.
Proven camera tracking / object Matchmove / character Rotomation / scene layout .
Experience in creating integration scenes and photogrametry files for the 2D and 3D department.
· Must be able to model and manipulate geometry for scene reconstruction and to aid tracking.
Must be proficient in: Syntheyes, Maya. [Pftrack, 3D Equalizer, Boujou and Nuke is a plus]
Must demonstrate a good eye for detail and precision with strong problem-solving skills.
Must have a solid understanding of camera moves and filming techniques.
General understanding of linux/unix-based operating systems.
