Production Supervisor – DreamWorks Animation

PDI/DreamWorks is looking for a Production Supervisor to manage the Lighting department at our Redwood City, CA studio. This position will begin in January.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Create and maintain schedules for lighting teams
• Quota planning and implementation
• Generate quota reports for PM/Producer
• Communication to lighters regarding company or project updates, systems issues, changes to schedule, goals, etc.
• Oversee project tracking of shots and revisions
• Ensure inventory from all previous departments by start of each sequence schedule
• Launch Seq kickoff meetings and plan reviews
• Collaborate in overall department goal planning and problem solving
• Assist Seq Supervisors in identifying quality issues within final renders or filmouts
• Work with Film Dept on delivery schedule of each sequence

Job Requirements:
The individual filling this role should have 5+ years of production management experience in the film industry, preferably in the area of digital animation and/or visual effects. Requires extensive knowledge of script breakdown, bidding and budgeting processes, strong communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) and personnel management skills.
Prior work experience in a CG environment & supervisory experience. Ability to handle a multitude of responsibilities in a positive, pro-active manner while interacting with individuals at all levels of the organization. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
