- To plan, implement and maintain an archive infrastructure for a diverse range of 2D and 3D software, including but not limited to Flame, eQ, Fusion, XSI, Maya, Max, Nuke, Mistika
- To plan implement and maintain a multi platform, multi OS, multi software renderfarm of approx 500 cpus
- To implement the timely and accurate exchange of data between the various packages mentioned above.
- Support and coordinate data management for internal projects; including data camera ingest when required
- Undertake any additional scripting and programming required to enable the efficient delivery of vfx across the department
- Advise on software and hardware and research new technology when required
- Develop collaborative relationships with Designers, Directors, Creative Directors and all internal departments to ensure visual effects workflow is efficient and produces the level of work expected
- General VFX IT trouble shooting
Ideally, you will have provable skills in several scripting languages, including but not limited to Python, JScript, VBScript and Perl and will be able to write out compiled code, plugins and shaders in C, C++ for XSI, Maya, Renderman and Mental Ray. You will be used to working with 2D and 3D artists, and will have experience of working in a post production environment.
