IT / Systems Admin engineer for a fast growing high-level 3D conversion facility. Reporting to the Head of Systems, this role offers the successful candidate unlimited potential to advance technical skills, offers experience with state-of-the-art technology and the opportunity to learn from specialist digital media colleagues.
Job Responsibilities:
- The IT / Sys Admin person will help install and configure hardware and software tools and programs including: Nuke, Silhouette, Mocha, After Effects, Cinesync, Photoshop, Frame cycler, Final Cut Pro, among others.
- Expand utilities for systems administrators and users of the system to manage system load, organize systems processes.
- Support artists with printers, monitor calibration, licensing issuers, etc.
- Maintain wiki and document procedures for the IT department.
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules.
- Install facility asset tracking system and maintain equipment documentation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of technical industry experience working in a similar capacity in a studio environment (Animation, VFX, Games).
- Proficient in installation and maintenance of Windows 7 workstations, including remote administration and automated user environment setup. Familiarity with Group Policy Objects and roaming profiles a plus.
- Experience with render farms and queuing systems.
- Automate system tasks with scripting/programming such as Python or shell script.
- Excellent communication, people skills, and team working skills.
- Anticipates and communicates problems to prevent roadblocks before they occur.
