This is a full-time position to commence on or about July 25, 2011.
Compositors are responsible for combining live action, CG and graphic elements into a seamless final shot. Therefore a thorough knowledge of each discipline must be demonstrated.
As a digital compositing artist you must:
· have a minimum of 3 years PHOTO REAL feature film experience
· have a strong sense of colour, colourspace and attention to detail
· be able to do any required tracking (both 2D and 3D)
· possess strong roto and paint abilities
· be experienced using multi-pass CG elements
· be proficient using 2.5d approaches, projections and using the 3D environment within Nuke. This must be demonstrated on your reel.
· work in conjunction with the production team (producer, VFX Supervisor, CG supervisor) to establish schedules and technical requirements
· work in partnership with lighters and other compositors to ensure shots are delivered to the very highest standard
Requirements include,
· successful completion of a Visual Effects diploma from a recognized Institution
· strong artistic skills
· a traditional arts background with emphasis on photo-realistic character work and environments would be an asset
Salary: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per annum
plus company paid benefits to include Group Insurance Benefits which include, Medical, Dental, Disability, Life Insurance and Group Insurance Benefits; two weeks vacation and paid sick days
