Digital Domain Media Group, formerly known as Digital Domain Holdings, is the parent company of California-based Digital Domain, an Academy Award®-winning digital production studio focused on visual effects for feature film and advertising production. In 2009 Digital Domain Media Group received incentive Grants from the state of Florida and the city of Port St. Lucie to support the creation of a large-scale digital production studio, which will focus on animated feature films, military simulations, visual effects, stereoscopic conversion and games.
OFX or NDK/SDK API Software Developer/Engineer – Staff position
We require an expert software engineer/developer to facilitate tool creation for VFX production. Knowledge of visual effects theory is desirable. Previous experience scripting and creating custom plug-ins for compositing packages is essential. Must be advanced in below languages with significant industry experience ready to produce work without additional training. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, quick learners and able to take direction well.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of OFX or NDK/SDK API Engineering
Knowledge of custom tool and plug-in development
Knowledge of python
Knowledge of C++
Knowledge of OpenGL or OpenCL (CUDA)
Knowledge of Compositng Software
Strong understanding of post-production pipeline, workflow, and visual effects theory
Minimum 2 – 5+ years development experience within broadcast/commercial/VFX industry
Demonstrates innovation and enthusiasm for inventing new techniques and tools
Must be available to work full time on site in PSL, FL
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of multiple scripting languages
Experience with other professional graphic applications such as Nuke, Fusion, After Effects, Maya, Photoshop, Combustion, Mocha, Silhouette, SynthEyes, PFTrack, Boujou, or similar
Artistic compositing skills
