CGI butterfly and a sky/window replacement/matte painting.

Hi,

I had looked forward to taking the following on myself but sadly I can’t, so I’m in need of some talented artists for a great looking short film that was shot on 16mm last year:

Shots:
We need a photo-real CG butterfly, 3D or 2.5D adding to a garden scene. It’s out of focus but close in frame. 2 x shots with camera locked but butterfly has ground contact on a slightly breezy flower. 2 x shots flying through frame. On set measurements and a light probe have been taken.

Also, a background/sky replacement for a wide shot static interior with floor to ceiling windows with slotted blinds. Sunny countryside view to be added visible through the blinds, possibly a matte painting. Camera is locked. Light is coming from the window side so a great excuse for some subtle backlit loveliness.

There are other minor shots too to let you know, but these above have priority.

I’m not at all keen on asking for free work but if anyone has some time for this it would be a great help. It’s a non-commercial project and was made purely to put everyone’s work on show. We’re industry professionals, I’m a VFX artist myself with recent VFX Supervisor credits on a Bafta nominated feature and Oscar shortlisted short.

I’m happy for the work to be split up if necessary, all credits will of course be included in the roll and can be used for cv purposes.

It’s a fantastic looking film and if anyone could offer their talents it would be hugely appreciated. Please email if you’re interested: turtle23{at}btopenworld.com, with a brief bit of info about yourself, and I’ll be happy to provide more details.

Many thanks.
