3d / Vfx Artist – Particle Work
Posted in: The Job LotIn fact, from the research we’ve done, it would require a combination of programs to create such an effect, i.e. 3d packages named above and after effects or equivalent program.
And thus a thorough knowledge in:
3d tracking
particles / dynamics / fluids
compositing
would be necessary to complete the job. The work would need to be completed by 14 December giving you about 3 weeks to complete the work (the work will probably start around 23 November or hopefully earlier). As this project is not being funded through a production company but out of the pocket of the director, we can afford to pay £1,500 (inclusive of VAT) or $2,500, which will be paid in stages upon successful completion of each stage.
We will be looking at reels in the next few days after which you’ll be having interviews in person in London with the director to discuss things in more detail. If you’re applying from abroad, then you must have good communication skills (replying to emails regularly and taking Skype calls) and a good internet connection are a must. You will also need your own access to computer and software resources to do the job.
Please note that when you send your reel, we’re interested in your abilities in creating particle-like objects, not your ability to model, texture, create motion graphics, etc.
If your reel looks like this:
Then you would be a good candidate for the job.
If interested, please contact Ben (the producer).
